HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR

High School Choir is open to every student in grades 9-12.  Music reading, sight-reading, rhythmic, melodic, and historical skills are all developed on a daily basis.  Students enrolled in high school choir are required to participate in the fall concert, the holiday concert, the spring concert, and the Pop's Concert.  There are opportunities available for individual growth in the form of show choir, solo ensemble, the Dunn/St.Croix Honors Choir, and the All-School Musical Production.

HIGH SCHOOL SHOW CHOIR

The High School Show Choir is a select group that serves as a good will ambassador for our school.  Auditions are held in September, and then the selected group meets on Monday evenings from 5:45 pm to 7:00 pm.  This group performs the national anthem at various sporting events and prepares song and dance routines for selected concerts, competitions, and community functions.

DUNN/ST. CROIX HONORS CHOIR

Students from each school in our conference are chosen by application for this honor.  The most qualified singers from each school are selected by the directors to form a mass choir that rehearses together and then performs a concert and a tour.

SOLO ENSEMBLE FESTIVAL

Students enrolled in high school choir are encouraged to get involved in preparing solos, duets, trios, quartets, madrigals, etc. for the district solo ensemble festival held in late February.  Each event performs for a Wisconsin State Musical Association qualified judge and receives a rating and a critique.  Those events performing Class A music and receiving a *I rating qualify to perform at the State Solo Ensemble Festival in May.

ALL-SCHOOL MUSICAL PRODUCTION

Every "even" year, in the spring, we put on a grand scale musical production.  Past productions include Anything Goes, The Sound of Music, Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Good News, Oklahoma, Cinderella and Footloose.  Auditions are held in February, with the musical being performed sometime in April.  These productions are very grandiose, with the whole school getting involved in set construction, costumes, make-up, choreography, lights, sound, ticket sales, and program design.  Any student in grades 9-12 that auditions for our musical is guaranteed at least a part in the chorus!
