April 29 Message from Mrs G

Hello everybody - HAPPY WEDNESDAY! Whether those 2 words together make sense to you or sound crazy, let's all try to make it a reality! I sure hope everyone had the chance to get outside earlier this week and enjoy the beautiful weather - what a treat! Let's all cross our fingers for more of that to come SOON....Tuesday's rainy and dreary weather just doesn't feel good to me one bit. One thing that did make a great difference in that crummy day for me was all the 'check ins' that I got from students - WOW! 26 students in ONE day used my new online CHECK IN FORM to say HI and let me know how they were doing. THANK YOU to everybody who reached out to connect, you ABSOLUTELY made my day!
CONNECTIONS are what will help us all get through these isolated and uncertain times! We need to all think about how we can connect in new and different ways with others than maybe we have had to in the past. This can be a little intimidating or uncomfortable for many of us, but we still MUST do it. What a chance to move outside our usual comfort zone - whether its got to do with the people we're connecting with, the way we're connecting or the amount we're connecting. Things aren't as easy in many ways as they've always been, but that doesn't mean there's not really great stuff to take away from a little new stress and efforts. That's how I'm feeling today after such a sweet response from my GCE kiddos - ESPECIALLY after the sweat and tears (kids, you know that's true when it comes to me and technology!) that went into me getting the CHECK IN FORM up and running.
So - if you haven't already - please check out my online CHECK IN FORM and let me know how YOU are doing. Its just a chance to start a new kind of connection other than seeing each other in the halls or classes at school. I'm excited to see what it can bring about for you and our relationship! Parents - please check it out too....help out younger grades or even connect with me by it also. The more the merrier . Keep taking care of yourself and loved ones AND looking for ways to connect to take care of yourself AND others! Mrs G
